Moe
Lamothe, our President, began Lamothe Approvals Inc. in 1979
for the purpose
of providing companies with a
professional, worldwide product safety approvals service. Since 1979
there have been enormous changes to the Safety Approvals industry.
Lamothe Approvals Inc. was there when CSA started up their Qualified
Facility program in 1995, which eliminated the need for witness testing!
Now, we belong to TUV's Qualified
Laboratory Program.
Back
in 1979, Lamothe Approvals Inc. was primarily involved in
North American safety standards. In f act,
before Moe began Lamothe Approvals Inc., he chaired many CSA
Committees. Slowly, these standards are aging, and being replaced
with international standards. In 1979 the concept of
using a single standard to certify a product for obtaining
certifications in Europe, Australia, Asia and North America seemed to be
a far-fetched dream. Now, Lamothe Approvals Inc.
regularly obtain certification
marks from across the world with ease.
Another
step forward in the safety industry was the introduction of the CB
Scheme. This scheme allows for testing at a single test lab to
obtain multiple certification marks from multiple agencies. Of
course, the international standards are used for these CB test
results! Lamothe Approvals has helped many customers
obtain foreign certification marks through the CB scheme.
